Most people came to know the existence of Sabah through the account of Mount Kinabalu, which was formerly known as the highest mountain in Southeast Asia with 4,095m height. Now, the present info which I acquired from wikipedia, Mount Kinabalu is the fourth highest in Southeast Asia after Mount Hkakabo Razi of Myanmar (5881m), Puncak Jaya (4,884m) and Puncak Tikora (4,750m) of Indonesia.

The Mount Kinabalu

However, Mount Kinabalu still the highest mountain in Malaysia and thousands of tourist came to visit here every year just to experience the breathtaking scenery plus the magnificent flora and fauna (nature). Mount Kinabalu is literally sited in Ranau District which is approximately 76 km from Kota Kinabalu City Centre and 248 km from Sandakan city.

I will convey more fascinating stories about Sabah in my upcoming post and of course more info regarding the great Mount Kinabalu.
