1 Week Itinerary In Sabah

You only have 1 week or 7 precious days in Sabah. Where should you go?
Day 1 – Arrive at Kota KInabalu International Airport (KKIA) or other terminal which located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Visit Monsopiad Cultural Village or also known as the House Of Skulls in Penampang district. It’s only about 12km away from Kota Kinabalu (KK). This unique place symbolizes the authenticity of the Sabah local folks.
Day 2 – Set off to Kundasang region located in Ranau district, approx. 2 hours drive from KK. Visit the magnificent Mount Kinabalu at National Park (the entrance gate for the mount climbers), Kundasang War Memorial (the memorial site for the infamous death march during World War II), and Poring Hot Spring which is approx. 40 minutes drive from National Park. Stay a night at Kundasang or Poring.
Day 3 and 4 – Depart to Sandakan district approx. 220 km from Ranau town. There are several places of interest in Sandakan region including Agnes Keith House, The English Tea House and Restaurant, Sandakan War Memorial Park, Stairs with 100 steps, Puu Jih Shi Buddist Temple, Sandakan Crocodile Farm, Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, Turtle Islands Park, Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey, Gomantong Cave and many other remarkable places. Stay at least 2 nights in Sandakan.
Day 5 – Back to KK from Sandakan approx. 330 km from Sandakan Town. Now, visit the beautiful Tip Of Borneo (at Kudat district) approx. 2-3 hours drive from KK. Stay a night at the Rungus Longhouse, Kg. Bavanggazo and experience the genuineness of the Kudat’s culture.
Day 6 – Before heading back to KK from Kudat, drop by at Kg. Sumangkap the Gong Making village and Kg. Gombizau the Honey Bee Farm. In KK, visit our shopping complex or proceed to the Tunku Abdul Rahman’s Park (there are 5 islands but choose only 1 of them), try out our local delicacies and settle down after an exhausted journey.
Day 7 – Pack up your stuff and ready to go. Or, you could still go for a quick outing. Visit the Sabah State Museum approx. 3-5 km from KK City Centre.

Please also plan wisely on your transportation if you travel by yourself and not attached with any travel operator.
