Transportation To Kinabalu Park, Kundasang, Ranau
Posted on Mar 11, 2009 under Tips | No CommentI always promote the magnificent Mount Kinabalu and its breathtaking scenery to those who visited Sabah or even to our local folks here but I never specify in details (in case people don’t know) on how to reach this wonderful place. There are several alternatives to reach this region and it’s up to your preferences.
By Car
Drive your own car (or rented car). Don’t forget to fill-up your gas and the most important thing is, make sure that the vehicle is in good condition. Equip yourself with a map which you can get it free from the Tourist Information Centre (Sabah Tourism or Tourism Malaysia). Drive approx. 36 km from Kota Kinabalu (KK) to Tamparuli Roundabout. From Tamparuli Roundabout, take the 12 o’clock direction and drive another 52 km mountainous route to arrive Kinabalu Park. You will get to Kundasang Township if you keep on driving another 6 km from Kinabalu Park. Ranau Town is 15 km away from Kundasang Township.
By Bus or Taxi
The Bus and taxi terminal is located at Padang Bandaran, Jalan Padang or next to the King Park Hotel. In front of the bus and taxi terminal are Kota Kinabalu City Centre Hall, State Library, Cinema and many other concrete buildings.
Travel Operator
If you are attached with any travel operator, you don’t have to worry with your route. All you have to do is tell them your desire and they will tailor make you wishes. You just have to pay their fees and enjoy the whole trip.
